Follow Jokowi's Instructions, Kemenag Immediately Build Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah To Aliyah At IKN Nusantara
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) will soon build an integrated madrasa in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago according to the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The Madrasahs include Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah to Aliyah.
This was conveyed by Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas while attending the Coordination Meeting of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) in Balikpapan.
"A few days ago, the President asked the President to create an integrated school in IKN, from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to Madrasah Aliyah. I have asked the Director General of Pendis to immediately follow up," Yaqut said in a written statement, Wednesday, February 22, as reported by Antara.
Yaqut asked the Head of the East Kalimantan Regional Office to immediately coordinate regarding the development, both in terms of budgeting, locations, and several other technical matters.
He hopes that the construction can be realized in 2023, so it is necessary to move quickly from all parties involved in it.
"This year is only 10 months away, so everyone must join hands in order to be able to realize the duties of the President," he said.
The Minister of Religion emphasized several things that need to be considered in this project, one of which is large land. He asked his staff to immediately coordinate with PUPR regarding this matter.
"Next year the President asks for an independence ceremony already at IKN. Therefore, we must support the facilities that are already available, one of which is this integrated school," he said.
During his working visit to East Kalimantan, the Minister of Religion also signed an inscription on nine facilities and facilities in the East Kalimantan Province, which was built with financing from State Sharia Securities (SBSN).
