The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) issued an official statement related to acts of abuse allegedly committed by the child of an employee of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP).

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance Yustinus Prastowo said his party criticized all acts of violence committed.

"I am concerned about the condition of the victim and support the handling of the law consistently by the agency authorized to the case," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, February 22.

Yustinus explained, the Ministry of Finance also condemns the luxurious lifestyle and attitude of showing off wealth. According to him, this causes erosion of confidence in integrity and creates a negative reputation for all levels of the Ministry of Finance who have and continue to work honestly, cleanly and professionally.

"We continue to take consistent steps to maintain the integrity of all ranks by implementing disciplinary action for those who commit corruption and integrity violations," he said.

Yustinus added that the Ministry of Finance has a mechanism in efforts to prevent and detect integrity violations, one of which is through analysis and inspection of the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN).

In addition, there is the Application of Taxation and Wealth Report (ALPHA) as a form of accountability for personal assets as state administrators.

"Currently, the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the internal compliance unit of the Directorate General of Taxes is conducting a summons process in the context of examining the employee concerned," he stressed.

Yustinus expressed his appreciation for the attitude of the community which has also become social control for government officials.

"The Ministry of Finance expresses its gratitude for the attention given by the public. For the information provided, an in-depth investigation will be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations," he concluded.

In VOI's report, the police have arrested Mario Dandy Satrio (20) as the perpetrator of the abuse of the son of the Ansor GP management, David (17). Mario himself is suspected of being the son of one of the Regional Office officials of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), South Jakarta.
