Jakpro Lobi BUMN Sponsori Formula E This Year
PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is approaching a number of companies that have the potential to sponsor the Formula E event this year. State-owned enterprises (BUMN) are also included in Jakpro's lobbying targets.However, PT Jakpro Corporate Secretary Vice President Syachrial Syarif has not disclosed which state-owned company is being explored as a candidate for sponsor of the second year electric car race in Jakarta."We have approached several (companies). Some are private, some are BUMN. But this is still too early. We are still locking it first (not yet announced to the public)," said Syachrial when contacted, Monday, February 20.Syachrial hopes that SOEs can participate in funding the implementation of Formula E this year. Bearing in mind, last year no SOEs were willing to sponsor Jakpro to hold races."We hope so (BUMN wants a sponosori. Ask for prayers, friends. I think this is for all of us if (the Formula E performance) is successful," he said.Syachrial also admitted that he did not know how many sponsors were being approached along with the income target.
