UPH Students Allegedly Vandalizing Against Their Ex-lovers Have Been Removed From The Campus
TANGERANG - Pelita Harapan University (UPH) took a firm stance in responding to the alleged abuse case by BJK against his ex-lover, USA. Both, BJK and AS are UPH students. They had a relationship until they finally ran aground because of the persecution incident.
"Academic sanctions in the form of revocation of student status," said Public Relations of UPH in his statement, Monday, February 20.
UPH's firm stance as a sanction for the case is contained in an official letter. It was revealed that the Audit Team of Pelita Harapan University (UPH) had conducted searches and investigations. Apparently, the incident occurred outside of academic hours and was a problem of inter-personal relations.
"Therefore, in this case, UPH does not tolerate acts of violence, either verbally or non-verbal. In accordance with what is regulated in the UPH Student Code of Ethics, anyone who commits violations will be subject to sanctions," he wrote.
Previously reported, the student at Pelita Harapan University (UPH) with the initials AS explained his reasons for making a police report regarding the persecution he experienced in February despite what happened last year.
It is known, the US reported his ex-girlfriend, BJK, to the South Tangerang Police on suspicion of abuse and threats. The report was carried out on February 15, 2023.
"The first report was in November. In December I did not follow up on the report, because (he) apologized and so on," said the US in a live Instagram seen by VOI, Sunday, February 19.
"Yes, I will continue in January, with the campus, so it's like adiem... 'we're fine' but I'll report it. Because if it's not like that, they will be beaten again if they don't find out. After February, the report was only appointed by the South Tangerang Police," he continued.
The US hopes that the cases it experiences can be processed by the police until the BJK is made a suspect. The goal is that there are no other victims like him.
The Head of Public Relations of the South Tangerang Police, Ipda Galih, confirmed that his party had received the report.
"That it is true that we from the South Tangerang Police, on February 15, 2023, received the police report from the US which reported alleged acts of abuse," said Galih in his statement.
Galih also explained that the US abuse took place on November 25, 2022. The case is currently under investigation by the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
"For this case, it is still in the process of investigating the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit," he concluded.
