South Sulawesi Governor Hands Over IDR 15 Billion Of Financial Assistance For Sidrap
MAKASSAR - South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman handed over financial assistance from the 2023 South Sulawesi Provincial Government to the Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency Government worth IDR 15 billion.
The financial assistance was handed over by Governor Andi Sudirman to the Regent of Sidenreng Rappang Dollah Mando at the 679th anniversary of Sidrap Regency in the courtyard of the Sidrap Regent's office.
"Alhamdulillah, we handed over IDR 15 billion in financial assistance for the 2023 fiscal year to the Sidenreng Rappang Regency Government. Hopefully, it will be realized soon and will benefit the community at large," Andi Sudirman said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, February 19.
The allocation of financial assistance, among others, for the Compong - Larompong road section, construction of regency priority roads, and subsidies for the trans mainstay of South Sulawesi.
This is a manifestation of the attention of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government to promote equitable and just development in the province.
In fact, the value of financial assistance this year has increased compared to the previous year, in 2022, the South Sulawesi Provincial Government has allocated IDR 6 billion.
The financial assistance is for the construction of the Gantun Belawae Bridge (Compong - Larompong section) and the rehabilitation of a number of irrigation canals in Sidenreng Rappang.
"Alhamdulillah, last year's financial assistance has been made for the rehabilitation of a number of irrigation canals in Sidenreng Rappang. Hopefully, it will be useful and can irrigate community agricultural land which will have an impact on increasing agricultural productivity," he said.
In other sectors, the South Sulawesi Provincial Government also distributed Mandiri Seed Program assistance, moreover, Sidenreng Rappang is known as an area that contributes greatly to rice production in South Sulawesi.
“Last year, we distributed 110 tons of superior rice seeds free of charge to be planted in an area of 4,400 hectares. God willing, this year we will again distribute 200 tons of rice seeds for an area of 8 thousand hectares in Sidenreng Rappang," he explained.
