"Exodus" ASN To IKN Involves 16 Thousand People, Need Super Matang Planning
JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas is finalizing the plan to transfer the state civil apparatus to the State Capital, Nusantara.
Azwar Anas in Malang Regency, East Java, admitted that he was preparing the process of transferring ASN from 35 ministries of institutions to serve in IKN.
"So, now we have started to make various processes. We have reported what percentage of each ministry will be," Azwar said as quoted by Antara, Friday, February 17.
According to information, there are around 16,990 ASN and security defense officers who plan to move to IKN in East Kalimantan. The ASNs come from 35 ministry agencies, including the coordinating ministry.
Currently, the PAN-RB Ministry is preparing each relevant ministry. In accordance with President Joko Widodo's directives, it has been decided that there are around 16,990 ASNs who will move to IKN.
"Mr. President has decided with our needs while it has been decided that approximately 16 thousand ASN and TNI/Polri have moved there," he said.
Azwar Anas added that in the last cabinet meeting it had also been decided that there would be an additional budget for the construction of apartments where ASNs live, including the TNI and Polri. The ASN serving in IKN will occupy the official residence in the apartment.
The consideration for building the apartment aims to make the green open space in IKN wider. In addition, the IKN area will also be equipped with a number of international-scale facilities, such as schools and hospitals.
"Later, schools, international standard hospitals will be provided, then the green open space is unusually wide, so the air will be healthier," he added.
According to him, many ASNs are interested in moving to IKN. One of the reasons these young people are willing to move is the implementation of the digital system in IKN Nusantara.
"In my opinion, it is not just a matter of moving offices, but about civilization. There is an interest in young people to move there, but there are also old or old people with a young spirit," said the former Banyuwangi Regent for two periods.
