Halal Mixue Product, MUI: All Procedures For Prosperous Production
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council issued a halal decision on Ice Cream & Tea Mixue products. The results were obtained after conducting a series of audits and trials of halal products on Wednesday, February 15.
The results of the halal provisions on these products are based on a review and assessment of the results of the halal audit report submitted by the leadership of the Institute for the Study of Food, Drugs and Cosmetics (LPPOM MUI).
"That Mixue products have met the halal standards set by MUI. All materials used are halal and holy. Then in the production process, it is guaranteed to be sacred," said MUI Head of Fatwa Asrorun Niam in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, February 16, as reported by Antara.
Asrorun said the halal stipulation of the ice and tea product outlets includes all outlets and menus.
According to him, MUI has set new halal standards for food and beverage products that have branches with various menus.
"Halal product audits are carried out on all outlets and menus in them," he said.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the MUI Fatwa Commission Miftahul Huda expressed his appreciation to the Mixue management who has made efforts in the halal certification process for all company products.
With the issuance of the MUI halal provisions, this is the basis for the Ministry of Religion's Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) to issue a halal certificate for the ice and tea outlet products.
Halal stipulation is an MUI product after the birth of a new halal product guarantee system. This halal stipulation becomes a domain/region of MUI as an institution given the mandate of the law to carry out halal certification.
Prior to the MUI, a product must go through an audit of the Halal Examination Institute (LPH). During the examination of the product, the LPPOM MUI LPH was appointed by the Mixue management to carry out an audit of product halalness.
