He said Zaenal Ma'arif had served as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 2004-2009 period, but later resigned in 2007.
Rohana said that after retiring from the Indonesian House of Representatives, Zaenal had attended school again until his career as a lecturer at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta (UMS).
"Activities are back at the UMS. But he feels that he prefers to rest, maybe there is something (something, ed.). So he meets friends every day for social gathering, happy (happy). Just meet lots of friends," he said.
