Expressing Many Cases, BNN Calls Aceh The Entry Point For The Distribution Of Drugs From Abroad

ACEH - Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Aceh Province Brigadier General Sukandar invites all elements of the people of Aceh, including South Aceh Regency, to jointly fight drug trafficking and abuse.This was conveyed by Sukandar during his meeting with officials in the South Aceh Regency Government which was attended by the Regional Secretary, Cut Syazalisma, today.The meeting was also attended by elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of South Aceh Regency, community leaders, and religious leaders in the southern western coastal district of Aceh Province.Sukandar said the western province is now the entry point for drug smuggling from abroad."The province of Aceh, especially the east coast, is now the entry point for illicit drug trafficking. This fact has been proven by many drug cases from abroad," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 15 evening.Throughout January 2023 alone, said Sukandar, the Aceh Province BNN revealed the circulation of methamphetamine-type drugs weighing up to nine kilograms.In addition, the Aceh Province BNN, BNN RI, Bareskrim Polri, TNI AL, and Polda Aceh also repeatedly revealed the smuggling and circulation of prohibited goods."The number of smuggling of methamphetamine that was thwarted throughout January 2023 by the Aceh Police is more than 20 kilograms, the National Police Headquarters is 140 kilograms, the Indonesian Navy in Lhokseumawe is looking for 45 kilograms, and others," said Sukandar."All these prohibited items are supplied from abroad, not made in Aceh.
