Gas Tubes Are Burned, 3 People Including Women With Disabilities Alami Burns In Body
Three residents of RT 10/03, Galur Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, collapsed after suffering burns from a gas cylinder explosion. The three victims were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
"Earlier there was a gas explosion at Mr. Jaelani's house. The victims were three people who suffered burns and one of them was disabled," said Mariyana, Head of RW 03, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 13.
Mariyana said the explosion started with the inhale of the very pungent gas at Jaelani's house. Not long after, the sound of the explosion accompanied by thick smoke occurred.
"I had said, how come this smells of gas. Then someone said that the gas cylinder was repaired again," he said.
Mariyana said, from the gas explosion there were three victims. The victim was named Jayi (50) who suffered burns to his body and head. Then Ngatiyani (30), a woman with a disability who suffered burns.
"The other victim named Selvi (22) also suffered burns. The victims Ngatiyani and Selvi were taken to the Johar Baru hospital, if she was not a woman, she had suffered burns," he said.
Head of the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Asril Rizal, confirmed that there were residents who were victims of the gas explosion.
"If the reports of my members were burned, there were two people who suspected that it was a gas leak from a resident's house and all of them suffered burns," he said.
