Restoration, 25 Street Children In Kendari Are Secured

A total of 25 street children were caught in a joint raid held by the Kendari City Government (Pemkot), Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), Saturday 11 February. Head of the Kendari City Social Service (Dinsos) Abdul Rauf in Kendari Saturday, said the joint raid was held with the Baruga Police, Kodim 1417/Kendari, Military Police (POM), and the Kendari City Civil Service Unit (PP). "Tonight, we did not do violence," he continued. The number one person in the Kendari City Social Service said that his party would find out the reason the children were begging on the streets. "In fact, maybe there are also these children who are backing up behind, that's all our wishes," he explained.

He added that the purpose of securing the street children was to bring the parents or families of the children. "Then we will provide guidance to the family, either from the Sector Police or Social Service," he said. The joint raid targets are Kendari City limits in Baruga District and at several traffic lights (red light) around Kendari City.
