Beatles, David Bowie, And Kate Bush Become Soundtrack Inauguration Of King Charles III

JAKARTA - The Beatles, David Bowie, and Kate Bush are among the artists featured on the playlist for the British government's official inauguration.

The Department of Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) selected 27 songs as street party soundtracks when King Charles III was crowned king on May 6 with Camilla, Queen.

Opening the playlist is the 1969 classic Fab Four Come Together, with the 1983 Bowie hit Let's Dance appearing later.

Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) is also one of the selected songs.

Other songs include Harry Styles' A Sky Full Of Stars from Coldplay, Ed Sheeran's Celestial, Harry Styles' Treatment People With Kindness, Space Man (SamRIDer), King (years & Years), and One Day Like This (Elbow).

In addition, there are various old songs such as those of Queen, Madness, Spice Girls, Spandau Ballet, The Kinks, and The Who.
