DLH Purwakarta 'Slipsing The Ball' To Residents Regarding The Assumption Of Waste At TPS
JAKARTA - The Environmental Service (DLH) of Purwakarta Regency, is overcoming the accumulation of waste in temporary disposal sites (TPS) by urging urban communities to dispose of waste according to the transportation schedule.
The Head of Waste DLH Purwakarta, Anggoro, said that currently, people in urban areas still often throw garbage in a predetermined place, but it is past the time limit.
According to him, this condition resulted in piles of garbage at the TPS and caused an unpleasant odor. What happened, it was suspected that the garbage was not transported to the final waste disposal site (TPA).
"It happens like that all the time," he said.
So when the garbage vehicle has transported the garbage to the TPA, according to schedule, there are still many residents who then throw garbage back at the temporary collection site.
He said that according to the schedule of the Purwakarta Environmental Service, cleaners began to transport garbage using garbage cars at 06.00 WIB every day.
However, there are still people who throw garbage at the TPS at 08.00 WIB or more, even though the garbage collection site is clean after being transported.
"So it's as if there is garbage that is still scattered, even though it is garbage that has just been disposed of," he said.
He said, every day his party mobilizes 370 officers (ASN and THL) carrying garbage. The garbage transportation from the TPS to the TPA is carried out using 60 trucks and six cator fleets.
DLH Purwakarta noted, every day officers transport 144.12 tons of garbage to the Cikolotok TPA, said Anggoro.
