JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) took over 27 cases from the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung). Of that number, 25 of them were unfinished cases from the previous year.
"KPK is supervising 27 cases at the Attorney General's Office, of which 25 cases are carry over from 2021 and 2 cases are cases with a 2022 decree," Head of Reporting Section Ali Fikri told reporters, Thursday, 9 February.

"KPK is tasked with supervising agencies authorized to eradicate corruption," said Ali.
Furthermore, the KPK appreciates the cooperation that has existed with the Attorney General's Office so far. Going forward, they will not only talk about enforcement but other efforts such as prevention and anti-corruption education.
This step was taken because eradicating corruption is not only the duty of the Corruption Eradication Commission but also of all parties.
"KPK realizes that eradicating corruption must involve all elements of society, not only between law enforcement officials, ministries, agencies, local governments, but also other general public," said Ali.
"Therefore, the KPK invites all Indonesian people to have the same enthusiasm in efforts to build a civilization of Indonesian society that has an anti-corruption culture," he concluded.
