North Penajam Paser Regency Questions Asset Status In Sepaku After Determination As IKN Nusantara Region

The North Penajam Paser Regency Government (Pemkab) does not yet know the status of regional assets in Sepaku District. The sub-district is the location of the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago whose construction continues to be accelerated.

Head of Asset Management Division at the Regional Finance and Asset Agency of North Penajam Paser Regency, Denny Handayansyah, said the assets belonging to the local government in the IKN Nusantara area were in the form of land and buildings.

"The building assets are in the form of educational and health facilities, as well as government buildings," he said in Penajam, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), Wednesday, February 8, were confiscated by Antara.

Assets belonging to the North Penajam Paser Regency Government that are part of the core area of the IKN Nusantara government are the cattle farm Trunen and a guest house with an area of 43 hectares.

"The assets of land and buildings belonging to the district government in the IKN area are not yet known ownership status," he said.

The State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) is currently still collecting data on assets belonging to the North Penajam Paser Regency Government.

According to him, the North Penajam Paser Regency Government will release the land and building assets if the central government or the Nusantara IKN Authority Agency takes over assets from the Sepaku District area.

However, the Penajam Paser Utara Regency Government is trying to maintain a guest house to remain owned by the area nicknamed Benuo Taka as the area of origin of the new capital city of Indonesia.

The land belonging to the North Penajam Paser Regency Government, which has a guest house building, is quite strategic, dealing directly with the entrance to the core location of the IKN Nusantara.

"The guest house can be used for the benefit of the district government in IKN Indonesia," added Denny. He added that the North Penajam Paser Regency Government had sent a letter to the central government so that asset management, especially guest houses located in IKN Nusantara, remained under the authority of the local district government.
