Jokowi Talks About Illegal Mines: Disturbed Industrialization, TNI-Polri Already Knows What To Do
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the TNI-Polri must take firm action against illegal mining and export actions. Because, it will have an impact on state revenues.
"Earlier I said that illegal exports are still running, the illegal mine is still ongoing. The industrialization process is disrupted, and the tasks of the TNI and Polri are there," Jokowi told reporters, Wednesday, February 8.
"If the export is illegal, for example, tin is still running. Bauxite is still there, coal is still there, so state revenues are greatly reduced because of that," he continued.
Currently, natural resource exports are one of the country's largest revenues.
The TNI-Polri and their staff were asked to take firm action against illegal mining and export actions without having to wait for further explanation.
"That's the task of the TNI and Polri, if it's at sea, yes, water police, Bakamla, Indonesian Navy, for example and I think I already understand what to do, without having to explain everything in detail," said Jokowi.
