Key To Manchester United's Awakening Already In Erik Ten Hag's Hand

JAKARTA - Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, already has a handle to be able to restore the glory of his team. Old Trafford has an important role.

Ten Hag menilai, menimbulkan kembali faktor ketakutan bagi tim yang berjadang ke Old Trafford adalah kunci untuk mengembalikan Manchester United ke masa kejayaan.

The Red Devils have won 13 consecutive wins in home games. That helped MU shot to third in the Premier League while securing their place in the Carabao Cup final and FA Cup fifth round.

MU will try to make 14 wins in a row at Old Trafford when they host Leeds United on Thursday, February 9, early morning WIB.

"It (made Old Trafford scary again) is one of our goals this season to get it back," Ten Hag said as quoted by Live Score.

"This is part of the Manchester United recovery process. It's great to have a connection with Old Trafford," he continued.

However, Ten Hag wants his team to play with the same confidence and freedom in away matches. Not as fast as he can at home, United have only won five of the 11 league games outside Old Trafford this season.

"I think home performance is good," he said. "The next step is to have the same personality outside the cage as we did at home."

"When we played away, we had a lot of fans following us and we could do the same. The pitch is the same size and is still 11 against 11," he added.

The Red Devils will love their chances of picking up another three points against Leeds. The team just separated from the manager because of their slumped performance.

Leeds has won without a win in seven league games and is only outside the relegation zone due to goal difference.

But United will be without a number of key players for the match against Leeds. Scott McTominay, Antony and Anthony Martial were all sidelined due to injury.

Meanwhile Casemiro will undergo a ban on playing for strangling Will Hughes when Manchester United won 2-1 over Crystal Palace last Sunday.

However, Ten Hag still hopes for victory and says he won't accept any reason if they don't achieve that.

"I always have to play with the available players and we have a squad. We have a lot of good players in our squad who don't play in the starting XI," he said.
