Banten Police Denies Its Members Involved In A Case Of Giving Rp150 Million To The Chancellor Of FK Unila

SERANG Polda Banten through the Head of Public Relations issued a statement regarding the news Dirreskrimsus Polda Banten Setor Rp 150 million to the Chancellor After Children escape FK Unila in an online media. Responding to the news, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Pol Didik Hariyanto, denied the news.

"The current Director of Criminal Investigation at the Banten Police is Kombes Pol Dedi Supriyadi, but in this report is Kombes Pol Joko Sumarno," said Didik in a written statement, Tuesday, February 7.

Didik deeply regretted the emergence of the news because it did not first find the truth.

"We deeply regret this news because it can lead a negative opinion against the Banten Police," added Didik.

Didik admitted that the Banten Police are currently asking for clarification on the news to the media concerned.

"We have contacted to ask for clarification regarding the untrue news," concluded Didik.

Reported by an online media, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) of the Banten Police, Kombes Joko Sumarno admitted that he had given Rp150 million to the former Chancellor of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Karomani, after his son graduated or was accepted as a student of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Unila.

"The Rp150 million money is to contribute to the construction of the meeting building," said Joko, as reported by Republika, Tuesday, February 7.

Joko said the money was given after his son was confirmed to be received at FK Unila. He delivered it directly to Karomani's house about a month after graduation.
