Not Yet Started The 2023 Competition, Bastianini Lontarkan Psywar To Marc Marquez
JAKARTA - The new driver of the Ducati Lenovo team, Enea Bastianini has started to heat up the atmosphere even though the 2023 MotoGP competition has not yet started. This was done by Bastianini through a psywar against Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez.
The start of the new MotoGP 2023 season will start in March, marked by the first series in Portugal. Ahead of the first series, there are already several names of riders who are seeded in becoming strong candidates for world title winners.
One of them is Bastianini, the former Gresini Racing driver is on the flagship list after last year's four wins. The result led him to become the second rider with the highest number of wins after Francesco Bagnaia.
On the other hand, the name Marc Marquez is also on the list of favorites, thanks to his improving performances. Even though last season Marquez was absent in six series in a row, due to his postoperative recovery in his hands.
Later, the Spaniard has started showing his spurs again by winning the second podium in the 2023 Australian MotoGP. Even so, Bastianini did not agree with this, according to him Marquez this year is no longer the seed in the MotoGP world champion.
"I think Marc Marquez knows he is number one," Bastianini was quoted as saying by BolaSport.com from GPOne on Sunday, February 5.
"But right now, I don't know if he's still like that."
"The result says that Pecco (Francesco Bagnaia) is now number one," continued Bastianini.
Bastinini's remarks against Marquez were not completely wrong. Because, even though The Baby Alien holds eight world titles, his motorbike last year had a red report card.
The RC213V motorcycle, directed by Honda mechanics, became the bike with the worst performance last year.
But on the other hand, Bastianini did not deny that Marquez could still be a serious threat. Moreover, his physical condition is approaching 100 percent
"We'll see. I think Marc (Marquez) will be in very good condition and become a title challenger," Bastianini said.
"His physicals are strong now. He's fine," he said.
