These Are Heru's Strategy For Clean Sweeping Of Extreme Poverty Jakarta
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono is promoting efforts to eradicate extreme poverty in the capital city. There are 4 strategies of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to overcome the condition of the extreme poor in improving their welfare. In the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's Instagram account, Heru's first strategy was to instruct his staff at the regional level such as the sub-district and village heads to validate data by name by address in the field. This is because data identification is the key for the DKI Provincial Government to intervene in improving the economic condition of the people of Jakarta. Not to mention, many newcomers have entered the capital city."I ask that all ranks go directly to the field to obtain accurate data, so that the root of the problem can be found and immediately intervene on target," said Budi, seen in his dkijakarta account on Sunday, February 5.After the search and identification process, residents registered in the exrem poor category will be given the handling or intervention of the DKI Provincial Government so that their welfare can increase.Interventions began to be carried out in the second strategy, namely providing services or social assistance to reduce the burden of poor family expenses. The assistance includes KJP Plus, KJMU, BPMS, KAJ, food subsidies, clean water subsidies, and so on.The third strategy is to improve skills. "Improve productivity and opinion through job skills training, job exchanges, and integrated entrepreneurship programs," he wrote. The fourth strategy is to reduce regional-based poverty through structuring the quality of settlements, planning Family programs, as well as providing additional food for the elderly and toddlers.Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS), there are still around 95 thousand extreme poor people in Jakarta as of March 2022, with an extreme occupancy rate of 0.89 percent of the total population of 10.7 million. The calculation of the extreme poverty rate by BPS DKI Jakarta can be seen from the per capita expenditure per day below IDR 11,633 or the accumulated household expenditure per capita below IDR 350,000 per person every month.Meanwhile, areas with the most extreme poverty rates are in North Jakarta. It is noted that more than 35 thousand or 1.94 percent of North Jakarta residents are in the extreme poor category.Meanwhile, there are 11 thousand extreme poor people in West Jakarta (0.42 percent), Central Jakarta 4 thousand people (0.5 percent), East Jakarta 18 thousand people (0.61 percent), South Jakarta 25 thousand people (1.12 percent), and the Thousand Islands 390 people (1.49 percent). This effort to eradicate extreme poverty in Jakarta is a follow-up to President Joko Widodo's instructions targeting extreme poverty to be 0 percent by 2024.
