Hasya Athallah's Attorney Affirms, Reconstruction Of UI Student Accidents Indicates Maladministration

JAKARTA – Hasya Athallah's family clearly stated that they did not attend the reconstruction of the accident that caused Hasya Athallah, a FISIP (UI) student to die when he was hit by retired police AKBP EKo Setio Budi, on Thursday, 2 February. Because according to Hasya's family attorney team, Indira Rezkisari, the reconstruction indicated maladministration.

Indira said that the reconstruction that was being carried out still indicated maladministration. Because according to her, it still refers to 585/X/2022 dated October 7, 2022, which has been dismissed with SP3 or terminated on January 13, 2023.

“We consider that the reconstruction has strong indications of maladministration. In our opinion, there is no clear reference to the legal basis for reconstruction," Indira said via text message, Friday, February 3.

Apart from that, she also highlighted the fact that the vehicles used during the reconstruction were different from those at the time of the incident.

It is known that the vehicle used by AKBP Eko when he hit Hasya at the scene was black. But when the reconstruction is done using white.

"We asked why the car of the suspected perpetrator at the time of the reconstruction was of a different color from the time of the incident," she concluded.

Yesterday, Thursday, February 2, the police carried out reconstruction on Srengseng Sawah Street, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The aim is to explore new facts related to the death of University of Indonesia (UI) student M Hasya Attalah Syahputra involving AKBP (Purn) Eko Setio.
