It's A Bit Different, Jevin Julian Is Actually A Duet With The Younger Brother Who Is Not A Musician At The Music Market Festival.

JAKARTA - Jevin Julian, who was one of the performers at the Music Market Festival, announced that he would collaborate with his younger brother Vanesha Prescilla at the event.

"This time the collaboration is a bit different. So not all of them are musicians. Here I brought my younger brother, Vanesha Prescilla," said Jevin at a press conference at the Music Market Festival, last Thursday.

Furthermore, Jevin also revealed the reason why he chose to collaborate with his sister. According to him, Vanesha is a person who really likes music, but doesn't have the confidence to perform yet.

That's why Jevin wanted to give Vanesha the opportunity to be able to show her talent in front of many people and wanted to grow her sister's confidence.

"So why did I bring him, because I did know him. Actually, he's a child who really likes music. But he doesn't have the opportunity and there is no great confidence to enter the world of music," he said.

In his appearance later, Jevin will also perform a song from his latest album which was inspired by his late father. This song made Vanesha hesitant to want to have a duet with Jevin, because she was afraid she would cry while performing the song.

"I'm really happy that I finally convinced Sasha. At first she didn't want to. At first she said she really wanted to but was afraid. But that's okay. This is also a very personal song. About the late father. And she said, 'What if you're on stage crying?' That's it," said Jevin.

"You don't need to be on stage, when I made the song I cried. But I said, if it's on stage crying, it's ok. The music is indeed emotional that we take out through the lyrics, through the melody. So if you cry, just stop. The music is still running, continue singing if you can," he continued.

To convince Vanesha herself, Jevin also admitted that it didn't take long. Vanesha had thought for several hours before finally agreeing with Jevin's invitation.

"Actually, I've been saying it for a long time. But he said, just chat later. Until one night, we were gathering, he said he wanted but was confused. Finally I told the whole family to convince, and everyone was supportive," he explained.

"Because everyone knows he likes music. Then he thinks about one to two hours. Then he leaves the room, he says 'yes, come on, but we continue to practice,'" concluded Jevin.

The Music Market Festival itself will be held from February 10 to 12, at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran, South Jakarta. Apart from Jevin, other musicians who will also appear include GIGI, Kangen Band, Tiara Andini, Rizky Febian and many more.
