Army Chief Of Staff General Dudung Not Presenting The Working Meeting With Commission I, TNI Commander: Kunker To South Korea, Already Permitd To Me

TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono explained the reason for the absence of Army Chief of Staff General TNI Dudung Abdurachman at the inaugural working meeting with Commission I of the DPR. Dudung is on a working visit.

"He visited South Korea, yesterday my permission was," Yudo told reporters after a meeting at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Thursday, February 2, quoted by Antara.

The Commander said that he had made and sent a letter to Commission I of the DPR regarding the notification of the absence of KSAD Dudung.

"Because the authority is to send a report to the TNI Commander. The TNI Commander wrote a letter to Commission I," he said.

Yudo said that the absence of Army Chief of Staff Dudung did not bring obstacles in the working meeting with Commission I of the DPR because it had been represented by Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Wakasad) Lieutenant General TNI Agus Subiyanto and other staff.

"There is no problem, there is a representative. The Army Chief of Staff has reported to me that it will be represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, after all, there were assistants behind, there was a lot of time that I couldn't answer," he said.

He also said that he would forward the message conveyed by Commission I of the DPR to Kasad Dudung for communication improvement.

"Yes, we will tell you later, 'the order should be delivered," said the Commander.

Previously, the Chairman of Commission I DPR RI Meutya Hafid reprimanded Army Chief of Staff General TNI Dudung Abdurachman who was absent and sent Deputy Lieutenant General TNI Agus Subiyanto to attend the meeting.

"We want to talk about Papua, we want to talk about defense equipment. So, actually we hope that all chiefs of staff will attend," said Meutya Hafid in the Commission I Meeting Room of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Jakarta, Thursday.

Commission I of the DPR received a letter containing information on Dudung's absence which was sent by Admiral Yudo on Tuesday (31/1). However, Meutya said that usually parties who were unable to attend also wrote directly to Commission I of the DPR.

"So, we will still open the meeting with the request that the Commander in Chief convey it to the Army Chief for another time to provide better communication," he said.

It is known that Army Chief of Staff Dudung led the TNI AD delegation to make an honorary visit to the South Korean Army Headquarters in Gyeryeong, South Korea, Wednesday, February 1.

Dudung's honorary visit was greeted directly by South Korean Army Chief of Staff General Park Jeong-hwan, according to a press statement received in Jakarta.
