Kylian Mbappe's Funeral Behind PSG's Happiness

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) appeared strong when they visited Montpellier headquarters in the continuation of the 21st week of Ligue 1 France. In the match which took place at Mosson Stadium on Thursday, February 2, early morning WIB, PSG won 3-1.

The PSG's three goals were scored by Fabian Ruiz, Lionel Messi and Warren Zare-Emery, respectively. Meanwhile Montpellier narrowed their gap through Aranaud Nordi's goal.

This victory made PSG firm at the top of the French Ligue 1 standings with 51 points. Les Parisiens is now five points adrift of Marseille in second place who won 2-0 against Nantes.

However, PSG's happiness had to be filled with grief by Kylian Mbappe. The French capital team's mainstay striker failed to score from the spot in the 10th minute.

Unfortunately again, Mbappe had to be pulled out 11 minutes later. He was replaced by Hugo Ekitike.

Not because of the failure of the penalty, but because of injury. The French national team player was reported to have suffered a hamstring injury.

There were concerns that Mbappe was seriously injured. The reason is, the player looks limp as he walks down the aisle to the dressing room.

Apart from Mbappe, Sergio Ramos also suffered a similar fate. He had to be pulled out in the 32nd minute of injury.

"It doesn't seem too serious, for one and the other," said PSG coach Christophe Galtier, after the match.

"We'll see. Obviously they are two important players. Kylian got hit behind the knee. Was it bruises, hematomas? We don't know yet. We chose not to take any risks."

"Sergio, when he falls, injures his educator. We don't think it's serious. He prefers to be replaced and not take risks related to the inconvenience," Galtier continued.
