Kasasi Kasus KSP Indosurya, Mahfud MD Permint Aparat Kembali Waktu Dan Lokasi Terjadinya Pidana
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD asked the National Police and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) as law enforcement officers to re-examine the time and location of the crime in cases of fraud and embezzlement of Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) funds.
This is related to the government's desire to reopen the fraudulent investment case of KSP Indosurya. Mahfud emphasized that the authorities should not hesitate to confiscate the suspect's assets in this case which cost 23 thousand people. "Bareskrim, good, come on. We have a coordination meeting. Take the assets, rush the people to go anywhere. We are strong, the cases are raised one by one according to the tempus delicti and locus delicti, respectively. The state cannot lose," Mahfud said on his Twitter account, @mohmahfudmd, Tuesday, January 31.
The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD admitted that the government did not expect the West Jakarta District Court to impose acquittal on the two defendants in the case of KSP Indosurya, Henry Surya and June Indria.
Mahfud MD conveyed that the AGO would appeal the decision of the Supreme Court which acquitted the two Indosurya KSP bosses. Mahfud said that after a coordination meeting with the AGO, Polri, and the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki on Friday, January 27.
Mahfud said the government would also implement the PKP decision of Pradilan Niafa which had won the government and customers to take assets from the defendant and then distribute them.
In addition, Mahfud said the government proposed to the DPR to revise the Cooperative Law. One of the points is proposed to be revised regarding supervision because Law Number 25 of 1992 concerning Cooperatives is considered not to regulate complex supervision like the Banking Law.
In the Cooperative Law which is now in effect, he said, cooperatives supervise themselves so that the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs as well as the government and other supervisory agencies cannot be involved in the supervisory function.
"Only after it happened was forced to join the law. Therefore, please pay attention. We will propose a revision of the Cooperative Law so that the frauds under the guise of cooperatives can be ended immediately and closed in the future," Mahfud said after a coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs office.
