Causes Of Aircraft Ticket Prices Can Go Up, Sandiaga: Influenced 3 Things
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno explained the cause of the increase in flight ticket prices. The figure is influenced by three things, namely the passenger loading factor, the availability of aircraft, to the price of aviation fuel.
"The price of this flight ticket is determined by three (hal). The first is the load factor," Sandi said after attending a Limited Meeting related to economic and tourism activities with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday, January 30, quoted by Antara.
He said to maximize passenger loading factor, there are several destinations that need to be optimized through coordination and collaboration with local governments.
The second thing that affects the price of airplane tickets is the availability of aircraft. According to Sandi, the government will continue to increase the number of aircraft that will operate.
"Earlier, the Minister of SOEs said that it would increase the focus on domestic so that domestic flights can be more affordable," he explained.
Meanwhile, the third factor is the price of aircraft fuel, according to Sandiaga, as stated by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, the government will try to make Avtur prices more competitive.
"There are government measures to increase efficiency and also the price of aviation fuel for the aviation industry," he explained.
