FISIP UI Students For Accident Victims Become Suspects Ended In Polemic, Metro Police Form TPF

Polda Metro Jaya formed a fact-finding team related to the accident that killed Muhammad Hasya Athallah Syahputra, a FISIP UI student.

"We will form a team to take fact-finding steps. This team consists of external and internal. We will invite from external supervisors of transportation safety experts," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Muhammad Fadil Imran in Jakarta, Monday, January 30.

The formation of an external team consists of transportation safety experts, legal experts and automotive experts. Meanwhile, the internal team consists of the Regional Supervisory Inspectorate (Itwasda), the Professional and Security Division (Div Propam), the Legal Sector (Bidkum) and the Traffic Corps (Korlantas).

"Hopefully this joint team's steps can reveal the real facts and provide a sense of justice and legal certainty," said Fadil.

Previously, Muhammad Hasya Athallah Syahputra was named a suspect in an accident case involving himself with a retired police officer, ESB. The accident killed a FISIP UI student in Jagakarsa on Thursday (6/10/2022).

What happened, Muhammad Hasya Athallah Syahputra was instead named a suspect because he was considered negligent in driving, causing him to die.
