Police Call 2 Truck Driver Manpowerers In Cengkareng Raup Rp 150,000 Per Day
The Kalideres Police are still investigating two truck drivers named Saiful (33) and Iqfa (31) who were arrested while making illegal levies (extortion) in the Cengkareng area.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police, AKP Ali, said that from the confessions of the two perpetrators, their income turnover from burglary reached hundreds of thousands per day.
"He can collect Rp. 150,000 a day, maybe he collects. One day someone might give him a change and he collects a bit of money around that," said AKP Ali to VOI, Sunday, January 29.
The perpetrators got large enough results from truck drivers by forcibly requesting and threatening them.
"They talk loudly and force (ask for money). Only words (threaten), do not use sharp weapons," he said.
They admitted that they were forced to do the job because they did not have a permanent job. While they need money for their daily expenses.
"There are perpetrators who are married and some have not. The results (reject) for daily life," he said.
The police admitted that they continued to investigate to ensure the application of the right article for the two perpetrators.
"We are still investigating first, we are still investigating what articles deserve to be marketed. In the future, we will carry out patrols to anticipate that something like that should not happen again," he explained.
Previously, it was reported that the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police arrested two perpetrators of illegal burglary or levies (extortion) against truck drivers in the Jalan Kayu Besar area, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.
The arrests of the perpetrators were made due to reports from residents to the police on Wednesday, January 25.
Based on the report, the police immediately went to the scene and immediately arrested the perpetrators.
