27 Shepherds Died In Burst At The State Border Of Central Nigeria
JAKARTA - 27 herders Fulani was killed and a number more injured when a bomb exploded in Rukubi village on the border between the states of Nasarawa and central Nigeria on Wednesday.A spokesman for the Nasawa Police, Ramhan Nansel, explained that the local police command and other security agencies as well as the state government are coordinating to determine the cause of the explosion and arrest the perpetrators."It's a shame something like that happened. 27 herders died after a bomb exploded in the Goma Regional Government Region. Police and other security agencies are still trying to find out the cause of the attack and track down the people involved," Nansel said as quoted by Anadolu via Antara, Thursday, January 26.Meanwhile, Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule commented on the explosion and promised that the perpetrators of the murder would be arrested and tried.Sule asked all Fulani residents to remain calm. The state government is coordinating with authorities in Benue State to find sustainable solutions for repeated attacks on people along the Nasarawa-Benue border.According to Sule, security officers have been deployed to prevent further violations of the law and order in the area."On behalf of the state government, I express my sympathy to all Fulani residents for the murder of their citizens by an unknown bomber," he said.Sule also assured citizens of the state government's commitment to find such perpetrators of action so that they are prosecuted.
