A Study Of 3 PPDI Request Points, Minister Of Home Affairs: This Regarding The Revision Of Village Laws

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian studied the three aspiration points conveyed by the Indonesian Village Apparatus Association (PPDI) to him.

"There were three things to be conveyed, yesterday (Tuesday, January 24), I met directly. First, regarding the issue of dismissal. They felt that many of them were dismissed by the village head. When the village head was new, all village officials were replaced. In fact, the law had already regulated the mechanism," said Tito at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25, confiscated by Antara.

Regarding the first point, Tito continued, the Ministry of Home Affairs is trying to ensure that the dismissal of village officials is carried out as stipulated in Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.

The second point, he continued, was that village officials requested that their status be equalized as civil servants (PNS).

Regarding this aspiration, according to Tito, the Ministry of Home Affairs also needs to conduct a study first because the implementation of the request requires a revision of the Village Law.

"They ask that they be equated (the status of office) with anything, like civil servants. Well, we will review this because this concerns the revision of the Law (Village)," he explained.

The third point is that PPDI asks for a fixed income for village officials from the balance fund.

"The third is that they ask that the Siltap, such as salaries called Siltap, fixed income, can come from balance funds; it does not come from ADD, the allocation of village funds, because it is often late," said Tito.

The aspirations of the PPDI were discussed by the Ministry of Home Affairs together with other relevant stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Indonesian Parliament.

"Well, of course we have to discuss this first with stakeholders about financial matters, both the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, the DPR, Banggar, and others," said Tito.

PPDI is rumored to be conveying these aspirations to the representatives of the people in front of the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25.
