Planning To Lay Off 10,000 Employees, Microsoft Can Actually Make A Profit Of IDR 788 Trillion
JAKARTA - In the midst of Microsoft's plan to terminate employment (PHK) for 10,000 employees, in the 2022 revenue report, Microsoft managed to pocket a profit of 52.7 billion US or IDR 788 trillion.
That number increased by two percent from the previous year, although according to Engadget records, that number slightly missed analyst estimates, which amounted to 52.9 billion US dollars or Rp791 trillion.

Even though the PC market is shaky, Amy hood, executive vice president and Microsoft's chief financial officer said the company managed to ride very high cloud revenue over the years. Microsoft's cloud business rose 22 percent year-on-year, reaching 27.1 billion US dollars or IDR 405 trillion.

Entering the new era of AI, Microsoft has rumored to be investing $10 billion into OpenAI, makers of popular AI tools such as ChatGPT and DALL-E 2.
The company also plans to immediately add ChatGPT to the Azure OpenAI service, and is reportedly planning to integrate the technology in Bing, the company's search engine.
