After Being Examined, The West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Immediately Detained 2 Employees Of PT Hagitasinar Lestarimegah In The Corruption Case Of The Sijunjung Flat

The West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has again detained two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Sijunjung Flats (Rusun) for the 2018 Fiscal Year.The two suspects are AL as Construction Management and JHP as Field Implementers of PT Hagitasinar Lestarimegah, which is a project implementing company."Two suspects came today to fulfill the investigator's summons to the Assistant for Special Crimes at the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office after being questioned, they were immediately detained," said West Sumatra Attorney General's Intelligence Assistant Mustaqpirin in Padang, Antara, Tuesday, January 24.The two suspects will be detained at the Padang Water Children's Detention Center for the next 20 days."Before being detained, the suspects had time to undergo examination by investigators who were accompanied by their respective legal advisers, then continued with a medical examination," he explained.For information, investigators from the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office previously summoned the Navy and JHP on Friday (13/1), but both were absent on the grounds that they were out of town.For this matter, the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office then sent a second summons for the two suspects which was finally fulfilled on Tuesday (24/1) until then detained at around 16.00 WIB.Mustaqpirin said the AL and JHP were two of the five who had been named suspects by the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office in the alleged corruption case for the construction of the Sijunjung Flat.The other three suspects, namely AR as Commitment Making Officer (PPK), then EE and T from project implementing partners were detained first on Friday (13/1).The five suspects were named as suspects for violating Article 2 paragraph (1), 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, Juncto (Jo) Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.Head of the Investigation Section of the Special Crime Assistant for the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Sumriadi, explained that the case investigation had been started since 2021, then raised to the investigation stage in 2022.The mode found in the case was that the work was not in accordance with the specifications and project contracts, but the money was still paid.As a result, based on the results of the calculation of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), state losses that arose as a result of cases reached Rp1.3 billion."Furthermore, we will continue the investigation process to complete the case file by examining witnesses and collecting the necessary evidence," he said.The West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office stated its commitment to thoroughly investigate cases of alleged corruption in the construction of flats intended for state civil servants (ASN) or workers within the Sijunjung Regency.
