Menkes Proud Of PeduliLindungi Who Becomes RI Bobosan, Prevents Transmission From 626 COVID-19 Patients

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the PeduliLindung application succeeded in preventing the transmission of COVID-19, which was carried by more than 626 thousand positive cases and close contact with patients during the pandemic.

"Indonesia is making digital breakthroughs with testing applications, PeduliLindung tracing which has been downloaded by more than 104 million Indonesians," Budi Gunadi Sadikin said at a Working Meeting with Commission IX of the DPR RI which was attended on the network in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 24, as reported by Antara.

According to Budi, the application was used up to 34 million people per week in various public facilities to detect booster vaccination requirements, complete vaccines, incomplete vaccines or unvaccinated vaccines, as well as positive or close contacts.

"This is one of the most powerful surveillance mechanisms based on digital technology that is massively used during a pandemic," he said.

The COVID-19 pandemic has also provided a major leap in the field of telemedicine services to 1.8 million people during the pandemic.

"We also provide delivery services directly to patient residences in 14 major cities throughout Indonesia along with 17 start-ups from telemedicine and logistics, so that pressure to the hospital can be reduced," he said.

Based on service reports as of January 17 -- December 31, 2022, 32 percent of the total 1.82 million confirmed COVID-19 patients contacted telemedicine services. A total of 94 percent of them received drug packages at home.

Telemedicine in Indonesia has reached the Jabodetabek, Greater Bandung, Semarang Raya, Solo Raya, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang Raya, Denpasar, Palembang, Medan, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Manado, and Makassar areas.
