Lion Parcel Send Ganja From Bali To Labuan Bajo, NTT Youth Arrested
LABUAN BAJO - The West Manggarai Resort Police (Polres), East Nusa Tenggara has detained a young man with the initials MJH (26) who is an alleged marijuana-type drug recipient in a package sent using Lion Parcel's delivery service.
"The suspect is still being detained. Tomorrow the investigator will send evidence to be tested at the Bali Forensic Laboratory for evidence," said Head of the West Manggarai Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Wahyu A A Septyan in Labuan Bajo, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 22.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested while taking a package at the Lion Parcel office located at Jalan Yohanes Sahadoen No. 8 Wae Kelambu Village, Komodo District on Saturday at 12.30 WITA.
From the hands of the alleged police perpetrators confiscated evidence in the form of a large package with a gross weight of 15.02 grams, a small package with a gross weight of 5.01 grams, a small package with a gross weight of 6.27 grams, a black Mio Soul motorcycle with police number L 4698 TW, a pair of white lys black socks, and a package of Lion Parcel duct tape.
Wahyu explained that the arrest was made after his party received information about the shipment of goods suspected of being marijuana from Bali to Labuan Bajo using the services of Lion Parcel.
"The mode used was that the item was wrapped in a white lys black socks and wrapped in a large parcel with Lion Parcel's tape," he explained.
Now the alleged perpetrator is still being held after being questioned in the Drug Investigation Unit of the West Manggarai Police.
The police are scheduling the delivery of evidence to the Forensic Laboratory in Bali for proof.
"After that, the suspect will be named," said Wahyu.
