Minister Sandiaga Is Happy With English Language Training For Labuan Bajo MSMEs
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno gave his appreciation by providing English and digital marketing training for MSME players who are in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. "I congratulate the PowerUp Program The MSMes which was created to help improve the quality of local MSMEs in tourism destinations," said Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno in an online speech at the Closing of the PowerUp Program of The MSMes in Labuan Bajo, Friday, January 20. The MSMes PowerUp Program is a joint program collaboration supported by the Indonesian Bank Foundation's Love Foundation (YCAB), the Financial Services Authority, and initiated by Mastercard, BRI, Grab, and Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN). In that program, there is English and digital marketing training for 100 MSME players in Labuan Bajo. Sandiaga assessed that the program has contributed to the development of Labuan Bajo tourism, especially for improving the quality of MSMEs.
According to him, the program is an important part in opening jobs to support business development in one of Indonesia's Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP). Sandiaga hopes that the training will be attended by more local MSME players, so that they can welcome emerging foreign tourists (tourists). The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has promoted Labuan Bajo on various occasions and provides opportunities for local communities to build the regional economy. Optimal efforts to optimally manage and utilize tourist destinations can be carried out if there is an improvement in the quality of MSMEs through training or coaching.Increasement of the expertise of the local community is also a step forward to create jobs and support business development for tourism development." "We provide training for three months, October to December 2022, both online and offline. It has been open to all MSMEs and free," he said.
