Contrary To The Statutes, Menpora And Raffi Ahmad It Is Difficult To Escape Verification Of Exco PSSI Candidacy
JAKARTA - A surprise occurred on the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) exchange for the 2023-2027 period. There is the name of the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali and businessman and public figure Raffi Ahmad.
The Minister of Youth and Sports enlivened the contestation of the candidate for Deputy General Chairperson of PSSI. Meanwhile, Raffi Ahmad tried his luck to become a member of the Exco PSSI.
However, it is believed that these two figures with big names will not qualify for verification. Football observer Rais Adnan assessed that the chances of both being accepted into small candidates were due to conditions.
One of the rules that must be met to run as a candidate for Exco PSSI is that it must have been active for five years in Indonesian football before running for office.
This is stated in the PSSI Statute in 2019. Article 38 paragraph 4 reads "Members of the Executive Committee must be over 30 ( thirty) years old, they must have been active in football in the PSSI corridor at least 5 (five) years old and must meet the requirements specified in this PSSI Statute.
"In the future, candidates for deputy chairmen and executive committees may be threatened with not passing verification. Among them are Menpora and Raffi Ahmad who have been hit by five years of active conditions in football within the PSSI scope," he said when contacted by VOI.
Amali and Raffi are actually not new names in the world of sports. Currently Amali is an active Menpora who has been elected by President Joko Widodo in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet in 2019.
Meanwhile, Raffi is a young businessman who while owning the club Rans Nusantara FC who competed in Liga 1 Indonesia this season. Apart from football, he is also known to be the owner of the basketball club Rans PIK Basketball in IBL.
However, both names are still considered "new people" in national football if juxtaposed with potential candidates. In the future there will be the names of the former Secretary General (Secretary General) Ratu Thasha and the active Secretary General Yunus Nusi.
Meanwhile, in the future for the executive committee candidate, Raffi must compete with names that have been poor across PSSI football such as Sumardji, Pieter Tanuri, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, Gede Widiade, and Hasan Abdulgani.
"There are no candidates (wills of candidates) for the general chairman when viewed from the requirements," said the man who is also a commentator.
The appointment of candidates for general chairman, deputy chairman, and members of the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) for the period 2023-2027 was closed on January 16.
If the death is processed for verification, the candidate will be given the opportunity to appeal the Electoral Appeal Committee (KBP) facilitated. The appeal file will later be returned to the Electoral Committee for the determination of a permanent candidate.
The election of the general chairman, deputy chairman, and executive committee will take place at the PSSI extraordinary congress (KLB). It is planned that this KLB will be held on February 16.
