Golkar's Voice In West Java Will Be Awakening With Ridwan Kamil's Presence

JAKARTA - The electability of the Golkar Party in West Java is considered to be boosted after West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil joined. He is considered a strong and popular figure there.

"At least in West Java the effect will be felt," Adi Prayitno, Executive Director of Indonesian Political Parameters told reporters, Wednesday, January 18.

Not only that, the electability of the party bearing the banyan symbol is considered to be even more successful if Ridwan Kamil is paired with Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, to Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.

Moreover, Ridwan's name is included as one of the favorite vice presidential candidates. "In the 2024 presidential election, this position is the key considering that none of the presidential candidates reached a psychological number of wins," he said.

Meanwhile, Indostrategic Executive Director Ahmad Khoirul Umam said West Java must indeed be controlled by parties and pairs of candidates to win the 2024 presidential election. Moreover, this province has a permanent voter list (DPT) of around 58 percent of the 204.5 million votes.

"This means that whoever controls West Java, if for example can wipe out (the voter voter's voice, red) in West Java, I think it has the potential to become a winner," he said.

"If you want to win in the 2024 presidential election or (election, red) nationally in Indonesia in general, of course, the mastery of the base in West Java is absolutely necessary," continued Ahmad.

Previously, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto would officially announce Ridwan Kamil joining his party today, Tuesday, January 18.

"God willing. There has been a special discussion between the General Chair, Pak Airlangga Hartarto, and Pak Ridwan Kamil," said Golkar Party DPP chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily Ace when confirmed by VOI.

The chairman of the West Java Golkar DPD revealed that Airlangga will meet Ridwan Kamil this afternoon at 17.00 WIB at the Golkar DPP Office, Slipi, West Jakarta. Next, an announcement will be made.

"If nothing goes wrong, God willing, at the Golkar Party DPP office this afternoon at 17.00 WIB," he said.
