Paspampres Don't Want To Be Called Tegas And Serious, Makes The Running Competition In Ring 1 Palace

JAKARTA - The Presidential Security Force (Paspampres) invites the public to participate in the Fun Run event around the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. This activity is a series of commemorations of Paspampres' 77th Service Day.

"So it's not only in the form of military activities, but we also want to carry out sports activities," said Commander of Paspampres (Danpaspampres) Marsda Wahyu Hidayat Sudjatmiko in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 18.

The Fun Run event will be held on 12 February. The theme is 'Setia Alert Run'. It is hoped that the public can see the Paspampres closely so that this serious and tense stigma of security forces can change.

In addition, it is hoped that this Fun Run activity can screen the seeds of athletes that can bebited by the government. So, Wahyu hopes that more people can participate in the event.

Moreover, the number who had registered reached 1,800 people.

"Hopefully our target is 4,000 (participants, ed) if I'm not mistaken, it can be carried out on the D day," he said.

Complementing Wahyu's statement, the organizers, Ridwan Yudha Prasety said there were two categories of competitions, namely 10 kilometers and 5 kilometers.

Participants on the 10 kilometer route will start the race at the Southwest Cross of Monas. The runners will pass Jalan MH Thamrin, Sudirman, the HI Roundabout, DKI City Hall until they return to Monas.

"What is special is that we will pass through the Presidential Palace of the State Palace later. The purpose of this event is to create public relations and Paspampres to make them more humane," said Ridwan when confirmed.

Meanwhile, the 5-kilometer Fun Run route will pass Jalan MH Thamrin, Sudirman, to West Medan Merdeka. From there, participants will make a U-turn across the southwest finish.

For the implementation of this activity, the permit has been issued by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. "So, thank you to the DKI Jakarta Regional Government for giving permission specifically to use the Monas area and around the car free day," said Running Management representative, Iye Rohadi.
