PLN Coal Waste Sulap Becomes A Mosque In Jepara
PT PLN (Persero) utilizes PLTU coal waste or Fly Ash Bottom Ash (FABA) into bricks to build mosques.
General Manager of PLN UIK Tanjung Jati B, Hari Cahyono explained, in the construction of this mosque, PLN provided assistance with building materials in the form of bricks and paving which were the products of processing FABA PLTU Tanjung Jati B.
"Alhamdulillah, PLN UIK Tanjung Jati B can contribute to the construction of this mosque by providing assistance with building materials in the form of paving and bricks from FABA," Hari said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, January 17.
Acting (PJ) Regent of Jepara, Edy Supriyanta expressed his appreciation for the use of the remaining coal burning of the PLTU for the construction of the Hidayatul Ilmi Mosque in Jepara.
"The use of FABA for the construction of mosques is certainly very useful and very useful for the community. This is the PLN of the Tanjung Jati B Generation Main Unit (UIK) that has provided assistance in the form of paving and bricks from FABA," said Edy.
Edy said the mosque with a building area of 160 square meters was originally a small prayer room in waqf land. The condition is quite alarming and residents often feel worried if at any time the musala building collapses.
However, after the construction process which lasted for 7 months, this mosque was completed and can be used by the community to worship.
Jepara Police Chief, Warsono also expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in the construction of this mosque. In particular, he also expressed his gratitude to PLN. This is because PLN provides support through FABA which is used as material for the construction of mosques.
"The ranks of the Jepara Police expressed their gratitude for the support from PLN UIK Tanjung Jati B which has facilitated us with FABA for the mosque construction process. And thank God it has been completed today, this is thanks to the support from PLN Tanjung Jati B with processed from FABA which was used for the construction of the Hidayatul Ilmi Mosque," he explained.
