SAR Teams Find Missing Fishermen In The West Kurau Sea Muara In A Dead Condition

JAKARTA - Suwandi, a fisherman who had drowned while looking for fish, was finally found by the joint SAR team. The victim was found after the search process was carried out for 2 days.

But unfortunately, when he was found, Suwandi's victim was dead. The victim's body was found dead with a distance of approximately 0.5 Nm / 801 km from the scene where the victim fell.

"The victim's discovery point is at coordinates 2 deg'19"S 106 deg14'41"E," said Head of the Pangkalpinang SAR Office (Kansar), I Made Oka Astawa when contacted, Monday, January 16.

I Made said the search for victims used several search methods under the surface of the water using Aqua eye SAR equipment.

Furthermore, the search was carried out visually using a rubber boat to comb around the shoreline for 3 kilometers.

"We divide the search area with 4 coordinate points covering an area of 15Nm, namely at point 2 deg 17'28"S 106 deg13'29"E, 2 deg15'55"S 106 deg' 16'06"E, 2 deg20'49"S 106 deg'18'26"E and 2 deg22'03 "S 106 deg'15'58"E," he said.

Meanwhile, rubber boats that were deployed belonged to various joint SAR elements. I Made Oka Astawa appealed that fishermen who carry out activities in the waters must prioritize safety for safety when carrying out activities in the waters.

Previously, it was reported that a fishing fisherman named Suwandi (41) was reported missing in Muara Laut, Kurau Barat Village, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands.

Currently, the joint SAR team is still searching for victims of Belilik Village, Central Bangka Regency.
