When PPKM was still in effect, it was practical that Ganjar's various routine activities to interact directly with his citizens were reduced. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Ganjar routinely visited the regions, stayed in villages, talked with the community and so on.
Ganjar explained, friendship and interaction with the community and community groups are very important. According to him, interaction with the community allows him to listen and explore the problems below as well as sit down together to find a solution. At the same time, he said, sharing knowledge and enthusiasm.
"While the PPKM has been opened, the gathering is back again. Today, because the PPKM has been revoked, we will run again," said Ganjar on the sidelines of a visit at the Baitul Muqoddas Salaf Islamic Boarding School, Kranji, Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regency, Sunday (14/1/2023).
Ganjar said that the caretaker of the Baitul Muqoddas Salaf Islamic Boarding School, KH Tajuddin Shorih, was an old friend. The interactions and gatherings between the two were also intense until the Covid-19 pandemic and then limited face-to-face meetings.
"I've been around for a long time, three years ago, I wanted to come here because Kiai Tajuddin is a friend and friend. We are indeed very intense in communicating, also with my team and so on. That's why it's been three years since I've been postponed, now I'm visiting here," he said.
In this gathering, apart from talking many things with KH Tajuddin Shorih, Ganjar also took the time to greet the students and students of the Salaf Islamic Boarding School, Baitul Muqoddas. The students also warmly welcomed Ganjar's arrival.

"Santri must have high aspirations. Be serious and focused. Don't forget to ask for the blessing of parents. Then remember to maintain friendship and interaction, both with fellow students, parents, and Kiai and Nyai. Also to help each other," he said when greeting the students.
Ganjar added that the large number of students who are boarding at the Baitul Muqoddas Salaf Islamic Boarding School proves the many hopes of the santri guardians so that their children become pious and pious children. It is hoped that the students can develop their religious knowledge very well, as well as the development of life skills because in Islamic boarding schools they are also taught life skills.
"Also it is necessary to adapt or see the foreign conditions that are changing so that when they graduate from here they are very familiar with the situation. Of course, the friendship between the santri guardians and the kiai, the caregivers is important to prepare the children and guard them so that they are not tempted by things that will not benefit them in the future," said Ganjar.
