Elvis Film Star Austin Butler Gives Honor To Lisa Marie Presley
JAKARTA - Film star Elvis Austin Butler paid his respects to the late Lisa Marie Presley, musician and only child of Elvis Presley, who died on Thursday, January 12, after suffering a heart attack.
"My heart is completely shattered for Riley, Finley, Harper and Priscilla [ Lisa Marie Presley's children] for the tragic and unexpected loss of Lisa Marie," Butler said in a statement to Variety broadcast on Friday, January 13 local time.
Bulter feels he was very lucky to have been near Lisa Marie during his life. He will always appreciate and remember the daughter of the late Elvis Presley.
"Her warmth, love, and authenticity will always be remembered," added Bulter.
Meanwhile, film director Elvis Baz Luhrmann also expressed his condolences via Instagram. He said that during the past year the production team for the film "Elvis" had received a warm welcome from Lisa Marie.
"His sudden and shocking disappearance has shattered the hearts of many people around the world," he wrote, in addition to uploading photos of Lisa Marie.
"Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love," Luhrmann concluded.
Butler, Luhrmann, and Lisa Marie recently on Tuesday (12/1) night attending the Golden Globes Awards. In that event, Butler took home the award as best actor in a film drama for his appearance at "Elvis". In addition, they also attended a pre-Globes party on Sunday, January 8, where they also celebrated the late Elvis's birthday.
I am overwhelmed by this film and the effects it has and what Austin has done. I am very proud. I know, my father will also be very proud," said Lisa Marie at the show.
