PLN Will Supply Green Energy For Football Matches At GBK
JAKARTA - The PLN of the Main Distribution Unit (UID) of Greater Jakarta stated that it would supply green energy environmentally friendly and free of pollution and sound for the U-20 football international match at the Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) which was attended by 24 countries.
General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Doddy B. Pangaribuan stated that his party is ready to support this international match with environmentally friendly, pollution-free and voice energy.
"Not only here, we are ready to take care of the training and electricity venues for athletes and officials," said Doddy in an official statement, Friday, January 13.
In addition to environmentally friendly electricity supply, continued Doddy, PLN also supports the reliability of layered electricity supply for SUGBK.
Just so you know, the GBK Main Stadium has a 4-layer electricity supply security pattern.
The installed power in SUGBK is 5540 kVA and a 1000 kVA UPS back up for the prestigious football event which will take place from May 20 to June 11, 2023.
To strengthen the electricity supply for international football matches in Jakarta, PLN has prepared 19 units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a total power of 4,210 kilo Volt Ampere (KVA), 7 Mobile Cable Units (UKB) along 6,635 meters, 21 Mobile Substation Units (UGB) with a total power of 14,480 KVA, 20 units of powerbank with a total power of 8,890 KVA, 8 units of total power generator 2,375 KVA, 4 crane units and 7 standby detection units at the event location.
A total of 522 personnel were also deployed to maintain the reliability of the U20 world cup electricity supply at the GBK Main Stadium, Madya Stadium and A-B-C Field which were used as players' training.
The training venue (Field Stadium and A-B-C Field) has a security pattern of 3 Lapis.
Electricity in the Madya stadium is 1,680 kVA and a back-up of UPS 300 kVA.
Meanwhile, the power installed in the A-B-C Field is 1420 kVA and the UPS 300 kVA back up.
"PLN UID Jakarta Raya is also on standby for electricity reliability for the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which is planned to be an alternative location for the match venue. JIS has a 3-layer electricity supply security pattern. The electrical power installed in JIS is 5540 kVA and the 1000 kVA UPS back up," he continued.
Jakarta's electricity supply is supplied from six subsystems with a total capacity of 7,205 Megawatts (MW).
The electricity supply reserve is 28.41 percent so that PLN is ready to meet the electricity needs of various events in Jakarta.
Since June 2021, PLN UID Jakarta Raya and GBK managers have been working together on improving and utilizing environmentally friendly energy in the GBK area, and are committed to jointly creating a green zone in the GBK area.
Head of the GBK Development and Maintenance Division, David Prastyan, expressed his gratitude for the support from PLN and good and alert cooperation.
On a reliably basis, PLN has proven to be able to supply electricity without flickering for events at GBK.
