Cup By Gol Indah, Which Colours Lionel Messi's Return At PSG
JAKARTA Lionel Messi has starred in his first match with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) since the 2022 World Cup. He helped his club win three points against Angers.
The Argentine star doubled PSG's winning goal in the second half. The goal forced the visitors home with a 0-2 defeat at the Parc des Princes, Thursday, January 12 this morning.
Messi was previously given a break a few weeks after the historic victory in Qatar. However, there were no signs of rigidity in his game when playing the first game.
The 35-year-old grabbed the ball and gave it to Nordi Mukiele. The ball was then poured into the penalty box and resulted in the first goal that Hugo Ekitike netted when the game had only been running for five minutes.
The former Barcelona player then recorded his name on the scoreboard after completing a pass from Mukiele. He defeated the opposing goalkeeper with a low shot using his weakest leg.
The linesman raised the flag to postpone Messi's goal celebration. However, after the video assistant referee (VAR) intervention Messi was declared in an onside position so that the goal he scored was right.

This additional one toll road makes Messi have scored a total of eight goals in his 14 games this season.
Meanwhile, this victory made Les Parisien even more powerful at the top of the standings with a collection of 47 points from 18 matches. They are six points ahead of Lens who trailed second and eight points from Marseille in third.
French giants will next play away matches to Rennes headquarters at the Roazhon Park Stadium on Monday, January 16.
