This year, allies plan to hold a Spring Freedom Shield (FS) exercise for the longest period 11 days without rest.
Along with the FS, Seoul and Washington exercises plan to conduct about 20 large-scale field exercises in the first half of this year all at the same level of intensity as the Foal Eagle training which was officially suspended in 2019 amid diplomacy with North Korea.
