Russia Makes Sure The Development Of The Ballistic Missile Nuclear Missile, Minister Of Defense: Main Security Of Sovereignty
JAKARTA - Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu pledged Tuesday to build a more varied arsenal, supporting aviation technology to better avoid air defenses and increasing drone production after a series of strokes on the battlefield in Ukraine.
Since President Vladimir Putin sent troops to Ukraine on February 24, the army of a former powerful superpower has been repeatedly defeated and beaten by smaller Ukrainian soldiers, even though it is backed by the United States and its European allies.
The conflict has turned into a war of war of friction that has killed and injured tens of thousands of troops on both sides as well as Ukrainian civilians, although no end has been seen and both sides are reararming as quickly as possible.
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told high generals to update their soldiers had to take into account the experience of fighting in the Syrian civil war - where Russia intervened on the side of President Bashar al-Assad - and in Ukraine.
"We need to continuously analyze and systemize the experience of our group actions in Ukraine and Syria, and on that basis develop training programs for personnel and plans to provide military equipment," Minister Shoigu said.
Minister Shoigu said Russia would continue to develop its nuclear team of ballistic missiles, submarines and strategic bombers, because such weapons are "a major guarantee of its sovereignty."
Regarding conventional weapons, Shoigu provided a very honest analysis of what Russia needed to improve.
Nationalist Shoigu critics have repeatedly asked why Russia failed to establish air superiority in Ukraine, why top generals made such severe tactical errors and why Russian troops were sent to the battlefield without equipment, intelligence, or even proper medical equipment.
Shoigu said Russia would pay special attention to the air force, build overall attack capabilities and improve command, communications and training.
He further said, Russia would "enhanced the combat capability of aerospace forces - both in terms of combat aircraft and bomber work in areas where modern air defense systems operate, and in terms of improving unmanned aerial vehicles".
"Our immediate plan is to expand the modern attack arsenal. We need to improve management and communication systems," he said.
Shoigu also said the military commissioner, who was responsible for compiling the army, needed to be modernized.
