KAI Notes 417 Thousand Passengers Towards Jakarta During The 2022 Christmas And 2023 New Year Holidays

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta noted that the arrival of long-distance train (KAJJ) passengers who disembarked at a number of stations in the Jakarta area had reached 417,500 passengers during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday period.

"From today's monitoring, Sunday, January 8, the volume of passengers has decreased, more than the number of passengers traveling from the Daop 1 Jakarta area," said Head of Public Relations of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa in Jakarta, Sunday, January 8, as reported by Antara.

Eva said the amount was calculated starting from the Christmas and New Year holidays starting December 26, 2022, until today, Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Of this number, around 147,200 fell at Gambir Station, 158,500 others at Pasar Senen Station and the rest at a number of other stations that served passengers getting off KAJJ for the Daop 1 Jakarta area such as Jakarta City, Bekasi, Jatinegara, Cikarang, Karawang, and Cikampek.

In total for Sunday there were 18,360 passengers departing from the Daop 1 area of Jakarta and 28,960 passengers getting off/coming in the Daop 1 area of Jakarta.

Meanwhile, for the volume of passengers departing from December 22, 2022 to January 8, 2023, for 18 days there were a total of 512,100 passengers departing from the Daop 1 area of Jakarta.

This number has almost tripled compared to the total passengers departing during Christmas and New Year (Nataru) in 2021/2022, which is around 196,500 passengers.

Eva conveyed, KAI appealed to the public to plan their trip well and order tickets from long before departure because train tickets can be ordered starting 45 days before the chosen departure schedule.

Train customers who will travel using KAI services are also advised to arrive early to the departure station at least 1 hour before the train departure.

People who want to know the availability of tickets can go online, namely the KAI Access application which can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS devices.

In addition to checking the availability of KAI Access application tickets, it can also be used for ticket bookings, schedule changes and ticket cancellations.

"In addition to the ticket booking application, it can also be done through official agents of online sales and retail that have collaborated with KAI," he concluded.
