JAKARTA - The National Police allowed the 2022 AFF Cup semifinal match between Indonesia and Vietnam to be watched by 50 thousand people at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Jakarta, Friday, January 6.

Indonesia's match against Vietnam was originally scheduled for 19.30 WIB. However, for safety reasons, the match schedule was moved forward to 16.30 WIB.
Agung explained that the preparation for securing football matches at GBK was getting better. The National Police focus on working together in controlling the behavior of spectators inside and outside the stadium.
The stadium security is also an inseparable part of the match that requires good preparation. The potential for interference to real disturbances has been prepared in security and safety planning. Thus, security and safety become things that blend with different focus.

Based on the results of the previous match security evaluation, said Agung, the SUGBK manager received a recommendation to improve the number of spectator seats in the stands. The organizers were also asked to improve the barcode scan or inclusion of seating numbers to ensure audience order in the stadium.
Then, the organizers must ensure that the number of tickets sold is in accordance with the capacity of the stadium. This is to consider assessing the safety and security risks of spectators, players, and officials of the two national teams.
Agung also appealed to the public and supporters of Indonesian national team football to be orderly and avoid actions that harm themselves and the good name of Indonesia in the world of football.
