Alkindo Naratama Increases Chocolate Paper Production Results From Recycling To 220,000 Tons Per Year
JAKARTA - PT Alkindo Naratama Tbk (ALDO) welcomes 2023 by starting the commissioning process of new machines to increase the production capacity of recycled brown paper (recycled brown paper).Commissioning is the process of ensuring that all systems and components of the new machine are in accordance with planned operational requirements.
"After being delayed due to the lockdown in China, we hope that the commissioning process for the Company's new machines can be carried out smoothly in early 2023," said Alkindo President Director H. Sutanto in his statement, Wednesday, January 4.
Sutanto explained, after the new machines can operate commercially, the production capacity of brown paper made from the company's recycling will increase to 220,000 tons per year.
Currently, the production capacity of issuers engaged in the paper and chemical business is around 80,000 tons per year.
"Efforts to drastically increase production capacity are in line with the company's optimism that the company will continue to grow in the need for recycled brown paper products," Sutanto added.
The demand for brown paper products made from recycled materials for packaging purposes is expected to increase in 2023, driven by the digital economy which is expected to skyrocket. Meanwhile, the strong relationship between the Company and corporate customers is also a separate force that also fosters this optimism.
In addition, increasing public awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability is also believed to help increase demand for recycled brown paper products.
The trend of increasing public awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly products can be seen in Nielsen's report, Sustainable Shoppers: Buy the Change They Wish to See in the World, which states that 81 percent of consumers want the company's contribution to improve environmental conditions.
