'Api, Api' Mencuruh Saksi Mata Panik Usai Makan Bakso, 7 Warung Di Muara Tami District Jayapura Ludes

JAYAPURA - The fire scorched seven kiosks in West Koya, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City on Monday, February 2 at around 14.25 WITMuara Tami Police Chief AKP Cornelis Dima admitted that the fire was first seen by one of the witnesses who had just finished eating meatballs at one of the stalls or kiosks that ended up on fire.The witness who saw the fire came from the right wall of the Koya Fashion kiosk and shouted 'fires'. Not long after, the fire quickly spread and spread until it scorched a number of kiosks around which were made of wood.Police are still investigating the cause of the fire, because when the first fire lit up at Koya Fashion Kios, the owner was not there."A total of seven stalls caught fire, namely Kios Koya Fashion, Toko Raisa, Kios Tiga Putra Permata, Fagira Kosmetik, Counter Pulsa of Tarwo's meatballs and kiosks," explained Cornelis.The fire was successfully extinguished two hours later with the help of three fire engines belonging to the Jayapura City Government and four water supply tankers.Losses are estimated at around Rp. 5 billion. There were no casualties."The case is currently being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Muara Tami Police to investigate the cause of the fire," said Muara Tami Police Chief AKP Cornelis Dima.
